Excursion to Saona Island

Transportation usually picks you up at your hotel or meeting point, depending on the area you're in (such as Punta Cana, Bayahibe, or La Romana).

Most excursions depart from Bayahibe (an area near the island), so you'll be taken to the port where you'll board the catamaran or speedboat.

The catamaran trip is usually more relaxing and lasts around 1-1.5 hours, while the speedboat is faster, about 30-40 minutes.

During the trip, you can enjoy music, entertainment, and drinks on board.

On the way to Saona Island, it's common to stop at the "natural pool," a sandbank where you can wade in shallow water and observe starfish.

Once on the island, you'll have time to enjoy the beach, relax on the sand, or swim in the turquoise sea.

The guides usually provide information about the island and its surroundings.

A typical Dominican lunch is served, which usually includes rice, chicken, fish, salads, pasta, fresh fruit, and beverages (often alcoholic, such as beer, rum, and soft drinks).

Lunch can be served at a restaurant or in areas designated by tour operators.

After lunch, you will have free time to continue enjoying the beach, snorkeling, or simply relaxing in the sun.

In the late afternoon, the group begins the return trip to the port by catamaran or speedboat.

Transportation will take you back to your hotel or meeting point, thus completing the day's excursion.
